Best Practice
London's Libraries offer some excellent examples of best practice. The LLDA is committed to promoting best practice and welcomes suggestions for further examples of excellence in practice.
Idea Store - a good idea
All over London, libraries are changing fast. Tower Hamlets, for example, are pioneering Idea Stores - a radical re-working of the concept behind public libraries. Two Tower Hamlets' Idea Stores are now open in Bow, Chrisp Street and Whitechapel.
Beacon Status
London's Libraries continue to shine brightly with the announcement that Barnet and Sutton have both been awarded Beacon Council Status for their library services. This newly won status confirms service excellence and carries with it a recognition that other public library services can learn a lot from their success.
